Effingham was founded in 1927 with a course laid out by Harry Colt across 264 acres of chalk downland.

Visitors are welcome on most days, though Saturdays are reserved for members.

CHAMPIONSHIP HISTORY
Hosted regional qualifying for The Open Championship from 2006 to 2010.

The course was set out by Harry Colt across rolling chalk downland, with all 75 bunkers restored by Mackenzie and Ebert in a project completed in 2018.

WEEKENDS
Saturdays are reserved for members only, and Sunday visitor play is limited to afternoons.
HANDICAP
Visitors must hold a current WHS handicap of not more than 28 for men and 36 for women.
BUGGY HIRE
Available, by arrangement with the Golf Shop.
