A network built the way golf already works.
Members sign guests in. Guests behave impeccably. Everyone buys a drink afterwards. We just added the introductions, and a fair way of keeping score.
Members only, and we check.
Every member of Hosted Rounds is a playing member of a golf club. When you apply, we take your WHS number and your home club, and we verify both by hand before you’re admitted. No club, no membership, which is why iGolf handicaps, good as they are, aren’t eligible: you can’t sign a guest in at a club you don’t have.
It’s slower than a signup form. That’s deliberate. Everyone you meet on Hosted Rounds is real, verified, and answerable to the same rules as you.
Anonymous to members. Never to us.
Your profile is a username, not your name. It leads with what matters: your club, your handicap index, your rounds hosted, your rounds played, and your ratings as a host and as a guest. Your name, email and number are never shown to anyone. You share them yourself, when you’re ready, in conversation.
The anonymity is deliberate too. It keeps the network about the golf, and it means nobody’s inbox at work fills up because they’re a member somewhere desirable.

Nobody talks to you without your say-so.
Found a member whose club you’d love to play, or a golfer you’d happily host? Send a contact request. Messaging opens only if they accept. From there it’s a conversation between golfers: dates, handicaps, walking or buggy. When you’re both ready, you swap numbers and arrange the round directly, like golfers always have.
Prefer some quiet? Pause your hosting whenever life demands it. Existing conversations carry on, new requests wait until you’re back.
The host plays. That’s the whole point.
This isn’t course access, and it isn’t a booking site. Your host signs you in, plays the round with you, and shows you the course the way only a member can. You pay your own green fee at the pro shop, the guest rate, in full, without being asked. Money never changes hands between golfers, and Hosted Rounds never touches it.
A host can bring up to three network guests into one game, and earns a playing token for each. One good afternoon can fund a season of away golf.

The network runs on playing tokens. A playing token is simply one round as a member’s guest: spend one to play away, earn one back for every guest you host at your own club. You’re given a single token the day you join, so your first round is on us. After that, the golf you take is funded by the golf you give.
Host regularly and it pays. Once you’ve hosted five rounds, every round you host earns two tokens instead of one. And a small number of the country’s most sought-after courses sit behind an experience gate: they cost two tokens, and open up as you build standing in the network, never something you can simply pay for.

Log it, confirm it, rate it.
When a game’s arranged, log it in your conversation: a date, a club, done. The morning after, both of you confirm it went ahead. The token moves, and each of you rates the other: hosts as hosts, guests as guests. Ratings stay sealed until both are in, so they’re honest.
