Playing Thetford as a guest
How do I play Thetford Golf Club as a guest?+
Thetford Golf Club is a private members' club, so the surest way to play it is as a member's guest. Hosted Rounds is a UK members' network built for exactly that: join, connect with a Thetford member, and they sign you in as their guest, usually at the club's own member's-guest rate rather than the full visitor fee.
How much is it to play Thetford Golf Club with a member?+
Played as a member's guest at Thetford, the rate is about £40 a round, versus the £90 visitor green fee. Your host signs you in and it is paid at the club on the day.
How much does membership at Thetford Golf Club cost?+
Membership subscriptions at Thetford are set annually and, as at most private members' clubs, are generally quoted on enquiry, so ask the club direct about current fees, joining fees and any waiting list. If the aim is to play Thetford rather than join it, you do not need a membership at all: a member can sign you in as their guest for about £40, which is what Hosted Rounds arranges.
Can you play Thetford Golf Club without being a member?+
Yes. Thetford allows visitor play (restricted tee windows, with play on friday after 11am, saturday after 1pm and sunday after 11am). You can also play as a member's guest, signed in by a member at the club's guest rate.
