Wells Golf Club
What you’re in for.
Wells is a parkland course, sheltered and green, its holes framed by old timber, in Somerset, the South West.
You will see far more of Wells as a member's guest than as a passing visitor. Hosted Rounds pairs you with a member who hosts you at the club's guest rate, played together, on the understanding that you will host them in return.
GETTING ON, AND THE RULES
AT THE CLUB
Play Wells as a member’s guest, for £32.50.
That is the club’s own member’s guest rate, up to 41% below the £55 visitor green fee. A member signs you in and plays the round with you. Hosted Rounds is the members’ network that finds you the member.
Playing Wells as a guest
How do I play Wells Golf Club as a guest?+
Wells Golf Club is a private members' club, so the surest way to play it is as a member's guest. Hosted Rounds is a UK members' network built for exactly that: join, connect with a Wells member, and they sign you in as their guest, usually at the club's own member's-guest rate rather than the full visitor fee.
How much is it to play Wells Golf Club with a member?+
Played as a member's guest at Wells, the rate is about £32.50 a round, versus the £55 visitor green fee. Your host signs you in and it is paid at the club on the day.
How much does membership at Wells Golf Club cost?+
Membership subscriptions at Wells are set annually and, as at most private members' clubs, are generally quoted on enquiry, so ask the club direct about current fees, joining fees and any waiting list. If the aim is to play Wells rather than join it, you do not need a membership at all: a member can sign you in as their guest for about £32.50, which is what Hosted Rounds arranges.
Can you play Wells Golf Club without being a member?+
Yes. Wells takes visitors, with a green fee of around £55. You can also play as a member's guest, signed in by a member at the club's lower guest rate, which is what Hosted Rounds arranges.
