Hillside is the quiet giant of the Southport coast, next door to Royal Birkdale and, on its storming back nine, the equal of almost anything in the country. Greg Norman called it the finest back nine in Britain.
It runs to 7,029 yards of proper links golf through towering dunes. Visitors pay £300 in high summer. A member's guest plays it for the club's own rate, and with a local who knows which lines the wind allows.
THE COURSE
A gentler front nine gives way to a celebrated back nine through giant dunes; the par-5 11th, downhill off an elevated tee, is the signature.

That is the club’s own member’s guest rate, up to 87% below the £335 visitor green fee. A member signs you in and plays the round with you. Hosted Rounds is the members’ network that finds you the member.

How do I play Hillside Golf Club as a guest?+
Hillside Golf Club is a private members' club, so the surest way to play it is as a member's guest.
