Playing Sand Moor as a guest
How do I play Sand Moor Golf Club as a guest?+
Sand Moor Golf Club is a private members' club, so the surest way to play it is as a member's guest. Hosted Rounds is a UK members' network built for exactly that: join, connect with a Sand Moor member, and they sign you in as their guest, usually at the club's own member's-guest rate rather than the full visitor fee.
How much is it to play Sand Moor Golf Club with a member?+
Played as a member's guest at Sand Moor, the rate is about £45 a round, versus the £125 visitor green fee. Your host signs you in and it is paid at the club on the day.
How much does membership at Sand Moor Golf Club cost?+
Membership subscriptions at Sand Moor are set annually and, as at most private members' clubs, are generally quoted on enquiry, so ask the club direct about current fees, joining fees and any waiting list. If the aim is to play Sand Moor rather than join it, you do not need a membership at all: a member can sign you in as their guest for about £45, which is what Hosted Rounds arranges.
Can you play Sand Moor Golf Club without being a member?+
Yes. Sand Moor allows visitor play, with some restrictions (no visitors at weekends). You can also play as a member's guest, signed in by a member at the club's guest rate.
