Founded in 1885, Hesketh is Southport's longest-established golf club, laid out among the Victorian villas of Churchtown with half its holes weaving through sand dunes.

The course borders the Ribble Estuary and an adjacent nature reserve, and regularly serves as a Regional Qualifying venue for The Open Championship.
