Founded in 1873, West Lancashire is one of England's oldest links courses, laid out on duneland beside the Mersey estuary between Blundellsands and Hightown.

Remodelled by Ken Cotton and Fred Hawtree in the early 1960s, the course hosts Final Qualifying for The Open in 2026.
